This is a beautiful site, being lovingly developed, in memory of a remarkable woman, Nano Nagle. The museum side of it has been beautifully done and is guaranteed to hold your interest. We took the guided tour, Suzanne being our knowledgeable, friendly, lovely guide. You can look around on your own, but would recommend the tour and then going back on your own to look in more depth.

The museum was very interesting and well put together, but the best part was chatting with Agnes! She’s so passionate and knowledgeable about Nano Nagle’s story and legacy. She also recommended that I visit St. Finbarr’s South Church, which was an excellent next stop! I highly recommend visiting Nano Nagle Place. Be sure to check out the gardens, cemetery, and Nano’s tomb! the grounds are lovely, and the whole place is well worth a stop.

What a fantastic place, I knew nothing about Nano Nagle before arriving in Cork. I’m grateful we found such a lovely museum to spend time in. Specific thank you to Agnes who was very kind to us!

An absolutely lovely experience!! A deeply calming area of Cork which allows you the opportunity to not only learn about the life of Nano Nagle, but the local history of Cork as well. The garden is gorgeous and the museum is very engaging, offering activities for both adults and children. The staff is absolutely wonderful and personable as well — Agnes specifically was wonderful to speak to. Cannot recommend visiting enough!

We were welcomed by Agnes in the shop and she was fabulous – so passionate about the place and the great work that Nano Nagle and those who have carried on her great work. Its a wonderful story and a really interesting place being a mix of a museum, lovely gardens which were so peaceful and a cafe (we went on a Sunday morning and the cafe was so busy we couldn’t get in so you may need to book).
