Nano Nagle Place is on Douglas Street, two blocks south of the south channel of the River Lee.
To walk to us from Patrick’s Street walk along Princes Street, cross the South Mall, walk along Parliament Street and over Parliament Bridge. After crossing the bridge cross over George’s Quay and continue straight along Mary Street. You will find Nano Nagle Place at the end of Mary Street.

Our interactive heritage experience tells the story of 18th Century Cork, Nano Nagle’s inspiring work and the lives and work of the Presentation Sisters over time, and today. Children are our very special guests, just as Nano would have wanted. We work hard to make sure there are lots of things for younger visitors to see and do during a visit to the heritage experience.
Our heritage experience is designed to be self guided, but we run a guided tour at 15.00 every day, and at 11.00 and 15.00 on weekends. The guided tour includes access to extra spaces, the Artefact Room and Miss Nagle’s Parlour, both housed in the oldest building on our site. We aim to keep our guided tour to around 50 minutes in length. Afternoon tours are often given by a Presentation Sister. Please note, if you are a group of 8 or over we are happy to facilitate a guided tour outside these hours – it is not necessary to come at 15.00.
We are now offering a new Airbnb Experience Guided Tour of the Convent Buildings at Nano Nagle Place on Saturday mornings at 10.00. This can only be booked via Airbnb and is limited to 10 people. This can be booked via Airbnb.
