Creative Youth: Activist Studio

Wednesdays 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th March, 15.00-17.00, Heritage Lecture Theatre

Are you age 14-18? Are you passionate about climate change or just want to learn more about it? Are you interested in taking action to make changes in the world? Would you like to meet other young people in a creative environment at Nano Nagle Place here in Cork?

Our Creative Youth: Activist Studio is designed to give you the creative tools you need to start, expand upon or raise awareness for a campaign you are working on around climate action or other social justice issues. We would like to introduce you/your group to a creative approach to activism and give you the tools you need to work together to start to influence meaningful change in our world.

We at Creativity & Change and Nano Nagle Place would like to support you in designing fun, engaging campaigns that can be brought to the streets of Cork and give you some tools and tips to reach a wider audience online.

When: March 4th, March 11th, March 18th, March 25th

Time: 3pm-5pm

Workshops are free and parent/guardian permission is essential. All materials provided. For more info email craictivists@gmail.com

Our programme consists of a post-graduate award as well as focused masterclasses, events, Creative Fair Roadshow and Creative Activist Youth Studio. It is aimed at educators, activists, artists, community workers, adult educators, youth workers, volunteers and anyone who is interested in the power of the arts in creating social change and empowering others to take action around social and global justice issues. Our work is supported by Irish Aid’s development education unit.
