About the Nano Nagle Lantern Fund
Nano Nagle, often called the Woman of Light, visited her schools daily and cared for the sick and aged each night, always lighting her way with a lantern.
To honour Nano’s luminous legacy, we would like to place a lantern at her tomb in Nano Nagle Place. This lantern will be commissioned by Eoin Turner, a glass artist based Co Cork who is responsible for designing the other beautiful glass features at Nano’s tomb in 2015. Our goal is to have the lantern installed in time for the 250th Anniversary of the Presentation Sisters in December 2025.

Join us in this journey of discovery, enhancement, and harmony while supporting a meaningful cause.

After uncovering your own healing abilities, why not uncover more about the history of Cork. Conclude your workshop by exploring our beautifully appointed museum, restored 18th Century Convent and historic grounds embodying the courageous story of Nano Nagle. Take the opportunity to connect with the evolution of her compassion, faith and determination and discover how her dedication to social justice and education remain alive today.
