Cork’s own Ger Wolfe with his band The New Skylarks are launching their newest CD “Melody Bright and The Favourite Sparrow” at the beautiful Goldie Chapel at Nano Nagle Place, a great new venue in the heart of the city.
Ger needs no introduction and since we first had the idea of running concerts in the Goldie Chapel the thought that Ger Wolfe would come and perform has been on our minds.
In a magical combination of beautiful songs in a beautiful venue, on the night we are promised a great night’s music from Ger and his long time musical comrades, the brilliant Edel Sullivan (violin) and Martin Leahy, (drums and percussion). Expect songs like ‘The Curra Road’, ‘Standing in Doorways (also from ‘Other Voices’ series 1) ‘I Have Been Loved’ and classics like ‘The Lark of Mayfield’ and “Heaven Paints her Holy Mantle Blue” as well as the brand new single ‘Love is in the Lost and Found’
Join us for our very first Friday night at the Goldie Chapel on the first of March..
Friday 1st March, 19.00, The Goldie Chapel, Nano Nagle Place.
