Having Fun With Speaking A Poem – Cruinniú na nÓg

Sat 10th June, 12.00 – 14.00, Heritage Lecture Theatre

Cruinniú na nÓg is a day of free creativity for children and young people! Nano Nagle Place & Munster Literature Centre have collaborated on a wonderful event for kids aged 9-13.

In this workshop you’ll learn how fun it can be to read a poem out loud. There will be easy and enjoyable warm-up games to get your voice ready to perform.

Learn how to make your voice carry loud and far so you can be heard. Learn how words can be said in a way that shows their meaning, especially words which activate our sight, smell, hearing, touch – all our senses. How can you make the word ‘wind’ blow? How can you make the word ‘sticky’ sound gluey?
