Thursday, 14.00, 22.08.19, Heritage Lecture Theatre
As part of Heritage Week and the theme of Pass times in Past times, Nano Nagle Place is delighted to host a letter writing workshop with historical reenactor Carrie O’Flynn.
How do you keep in contact with friends and family? A WhatsApp group? Email? Facebook? A weekly phone call? Join us to experience how people kept in contact in the past through letter writing. The session will include a short talk and demonstration by historical reenactor Carrie O’Flynn, with a hands-on chance to test your own historical writing skills afterwards. For inspiration on how to write a good letter, we’ll be bringing some of Nano’s letters, written in the 1760s and 1770s, out of our archive.
This is a FREE event, no need for registration!
