Playful Culture Trail 2025

Join us on the Playful Culture Trail 2025 at Nano Nagle Place!

From June – August 2025 | Nano Nagle Place & various locations across Cork City | Free

This summer, Nano Nagle Place is delighted to be part of the 2025 Playful Culture Trail, a city-wide celebration of curiosity and imagination for families and children of all ages.

From June to August, children can pick up their Playful Culture Trail map at participating attractions, including right here at Nano Nagle Place, and start collecting stamps on their journey across Cork’s museums, galleries, and historic sites.

As part of the trail, little explorers can dress up in period costume in our heritage museum and search for Bláithin the Lizard, the trail’s beloved mascot, now donning her detective hat and hiding in multiple locations across our site. Children are encouraged to complete a list of 20 playful things to do across the city, including finding Ogham Stones at UCC and locating the centre of the labyrinth at St. Fin Barre’s Cathedral.

Families can also head to www.playfulculturetrail.ie for extra craft ideas and at-home activities to keep the adventure going all summer long.

We’re proud to be part of this joyful initiative that helps families discover Cork through the lens of play. Come explore, imagine, and uncover hidden stories with us at Nano Nagle Place.
