Nano Nagle Place’s ‘Print Room’ had it’s official launch in October 2019. as a new exhibition space for prints.
Join us for a panel discussion with Miguel Amado, Director and Curator of Cork Printmakers, which will focus on our new Print Room, and Miguel’s interest in re-imagining of art institutions.
“I explore alternatives to ‘master’ aesthetic models and to mainstream historical narratives, dominated by art history and the market. I thus focus on subaltern art practices – both those overlooked and which have an applied, useful dimension. I am interested in the reimagining of art and its institutions as agents of social change, in order to establish a ‘commonist’ politics/aesthetics. I thus collaborate with artists committed to operating within, and contributing to the development, of communities, and addressing urgent issues in society.” – Miguel Amado
