How to find us
Nano Nagle Place is on Douglas Street, two blocks south of the south channel of the River Lee.
To walk to us from Patrick’s Street walk along Princes Street, cross the South Mall, walk along Parliament Street and over Parliament Bridge. After crossing the bridge cross over George’s Quay and continue straight along Mary Street. You will find Nano Nagle Place at the end of Mary Street.
Driving to us is more complicated! Douglas Street is one way in front of Nano Nagle Place. The best way to approach is via from the direction of Barrack Street. You can also drive down Evergreen Road and take a sharp right onto Douglas Street from there. Please note we have no car park (they didn’t need them in the 18th century!). Please see our note about parking below.
Opening Hours and Admission
Nano Nagle Place is open Tuesday- Sunday 10.00-17.00.
Our interactive heritage experience tells the story of 18th Century Cork, Nano Nagle’s inspiring work and the lives and work of the Presentation Sisters over time, and today.
It is free to visit Nano Nagle’s tomb, and the gardens – self-guided tours of the museum can be booked in advance HERE or tickets are available in our museum reception. Last admission to the museum is at 16.15 to allow 45 minutes to see the exhibition before the museum closes at 17.00.
In light of the Covid-19 epidemic we have introduced a time slotted system for entry into the museum. Household groups are admitted into the museum in 15 minute intervals, giving you a chance to socially distance and explore the museum at your own pace.
Please make sure to arrive at the museum reception 5 minutes before your time slot. We are situated in the inner city, and so don’t have a car park. It can take time to find on street parking, so make sure to factor this into your journey time!
Nano Nagle Place is closed on Mondays.
