As usual, the majority of the dealers are Munster based and will carry a large selection of stock bearing on Cork and surrounding counties, along with more general stock of ‘Irish’ interest – military, political, social, religious, and natural history. There will be something to suit every taste and every pocket. Why not come along, even if you only want to browse!

Highlights include:

Hot off the printing press, a new book by Cork author, Pat Punch, titled ‘Lee Valley and Cork Harbour – from Source to the Sea; Aerial Pictures and Stories’. This wonderfully illustrated book will be retailing at ā‚¬10 with proceeds to Marymount and ARC House charities.

Book dealer Maurice O’Riordan will have an exceptional collection of antiquarian books on offer. These include Charles Smith’s ‘State of the County of Cork’ (1774, 2nd ed. 2 vols); similar for counties Down (1744) and Kerry (1756) – both first editions, and a selection of Cork City postcards.

James McBarron, including a 1618 publication of a lecture delivered in Cork by John Hull, and The Dresden Codex – a copy of an ancient Mayan manuscript, along with a Commentary.
